Challenge
Eggologic knew they wanted a natural, wood-based material to line and insulate their recycled HDPE, modular nesting pod. Determined to find a solution aligned with their earth-friendly brand, they were intrigued with compostable molded fiber, but struggled to find a vendor who could support their design needs and help them scale effectively.
The Solution
With our flexible, in-house design team and small manufacturing platform, we were able to support Eggologic’s design goals. Collaborative design sessions and iterative prototyping produced a beautifully functional birdhouse insert to provide a warm, natural refuge that can be composted at the end of each nesting season. Utilizing a smaller format machine kept costs viable to support Eggologic’s scale up.
