Christopher LaCasse

CTO & Co-Founder

Tinkerer. Creative Thinker. Builder of Dreams and Things.

Christopher is a hands-on problem solver with a passion for understanding how things work. He isn't concerned with titles or recognition; he's all about getting the job done. With a lifelong fascination for mechanics and a love for LEGOS, Christopher's creativity and intuition have always driven him to build and innovate.

As the co-founder of Tanbark, a sustainable packaging company, Christopher applies his skills and scientific mindset to design, build, and operate the machinery for molded fiber packaging. With over three decades of experience in the industry, he brings invaluable expertise to the table. He also runs LaCasse & Weston, an engineering services provider for molded-fiber producers, offering equipment and machines for expanding and start-up ventures.

Since the age of 13, Christopher has been wrenching on machines that produce molded fiber packaging. His ingenuity extends to creating a new, smaller machine that fills a market gap, allowing Tanbark to accommodate companies in need of smaller production runs. He sees limitless possibilities, limited only by the hours in a day.

Christopher possesses a unique ability to see the inner workings of objects from an outsider's perspective. While he initially studied engineering in college, he ultimately found his true passion in flying helicopters. When not in the sky, he finds solace in the mountains or on  the open water, feeding his love for all things mechanical.

Christopher LaCasse's dedication to hands-on work, coupled with his mechanical prowess and inventive mindset, make him a driving force behind Tanbark's success in the sustainable packaging industry.
